Arrivals and Departures
We want you to enjoy your stay with us at Lake Lodge Retreat. To help us (and yourselves) with this we ask you to comply with a few simple rules and preparations as detailed below.
Prior to Arrival
For your security and protection, Haggerston Castle Holiday Park have a manned barrier entrance and exit system. They will need to be advised of any vehicle registration number that you will intend using to access the park (our Lodge provides free parking for up to 2 standard size family cars). Therefore you will need ot provide us with this information so we can pre book your entry to the park (you will only be cleared for access during the arrival and departure dates of your stay.
On Arrival
On approach to the area where Lake Lodge Retreat is located you will see an electronic security gate, this is opened via entry of a code on a keypad to the right. This code will be sent to you with your booking confirmation on payment of your holiday.
Parking
You will find the designated parking area for Lake Lodge Retreat immediately at the front, offset to the right of the lodge. There is ample space for 2 standard size family cars. Please keep your vehicle to this designated area only and do not park on the verges, roadside or in other lodge parking areas.
Accessing the Lodge
There are a short set of steps up to the path leading to the front door of the lodge, on the outside wall to the right of the front door there is a combination lock style keybox, the access code for this keybox will be provided to you with your confirmation details. After which you are free to keep the keys with you but we recommend that you continue to use the keybox to avoid accidently losing the keys and being locked out. In the case of being locked out please contact us on the telephone number detailed, but please be aware that this line is not manned 24 hours a day and you may need to wait for a response.
Dogs
We are happy to welcome up to two small pets by arrangement at Lake Lodge Retreat at a very reasonable rate, all we ask is that you are careful and clean. Please respect the property and do not allow dogs onto furniture or into bedrooms (additional charges will be applied if there is evidence that this request is not adhered to). Haggerston Castle Holiday Park is extremely “dog friendly” but there obviously are rules so please ensure you familiarise yourselves with these rules before arrival.
Check In Times
Our check in time is from 16:00hrs (4 o’clock pm), our teams are very busy on a changeover day as they have more properties to prepare than just Lake Lodge Retreat and their time is very precious. Please do not contact us and ask for an early check in time or let yourselves into the lodge early as this cannot be accomodated.
Breakages
We trust you will feel at home in our lodge and that you feel able to make yourselves comfortable and use the amenities provided. We do, of course, ask that you respect the property of the lodge. We appreciate accidents do happen but do request that you report any breakages/damages etc immediately to us via a simple text message on the number provided with your confirmation details. Small items like mugs and glasses are counted as wear and tear and a reasonable breakage is understandable, however, larger items and lodge fixtures may incurr a replacement/repair cost at the owners discretion.
Your Comfort
We hope you find the lodge comfortable. The lodge is fitted with radiators and a thermostat controlled heating system which you are welcome to adjust to suit your needs as is the electric fire place. Please do not leave heating, lighting or appliances on when you do not need them or while the lodge is empty.
On Departure
Leaving the Lodge
Please ensure you leave the lodge in a similar state to how you found it, we do not expect you to clean of course, but we do ask that you strip all used beds of their linen, ensure all crockery is washed and put away and your bins have been emptied and rubbish/recycling taken to the appropriate bins on the park.
Please ensure keys are replaced back into the keybox and the combination numbers shuffled once you have vacated the lodge.
Check Out Time
Our check out time is strictly 10:00hrs (10:00 o’clock am), as with check in times, our team has to balance change overs with many properties and cannot make unexpected changes to their shcedules so please do not stay later than the defined check out time.
