Welcome to Lake Lodge Retreat, a well appointed self-catering lodge nestled in a quiet corner of Haggerston Castle Holiday Park. Our lodge comfortably accommodates up to six guests, featuring one double room with king bed and two twin rooms. Each room is designed with your comfort in mind, ensuring a restful stay.
Enjoy the convenience of an open plan dining and fully equipped kitchen area, perfect for preparing family meals, along with a spacious lounge area with a 52-inch flatscreen TV for your entertainment. The lodge also boasts two modern bathrooms, one with a bath and overhead shower, and the other with a shower only. Double patio doors lead onto the decked terrace, furnished with patio furniture where you can take in the stunning views of the nearby lake. Pet welcome by arrangement.

Nestled among nine wooden lodges, our retreat provides stunning views of the nearby lake and ample grassy areas closeby for children to play. The lodge sleeps six, featuring one king bedroom and two twin rooms, an openplan full kitchen with dining area, a cozy lounge with a 52-inch flatscreen TV and feature fire, and two bathrooms. Enjoy the terrace with patio furniture, perfect for relaxing and taking in the sunshine and tranquil surroundings. The park itself boasts a variety of activities, including an amusement centre, soft play area, aerial adventures, water activities, and a heated pool. Dining options are plentiful with the Mash and Barrel restaurant and a varied selection of takeaways. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Lake Lodge Retreat is the ideal destination for your family holiday.
Places to Explore
Bamburgh
A beautiful coastal Northumbrian town boasts the magnificent Bamburgh Castle which presides, from its 180ft rock, over miles of surrounding white sanded beaches, a golf course, Grace Darling Museum, St Aidan’s Church, local shops and restaurants.
Berwick-upon-Tweed
Just below the Scottish Border, Berwick is the most northernly English town. Its Elizabethan walls encircle the town and offer views of the 3 iconic bridges, Georgian buildings along the waterfront and both Bamburgh and Lindisfarne Castles.
Dunstanburgh and Craster
The charming fishing village of Craster is home to the famous smoked kippers and is the perfect place to while away a few peaceful hours. The original harbour is picture perfect and the walk to Dunstanbburgh Castle is pleasant and rewarding.
Northumberland Coast
A designated AONB, the Northumberland Coast has abundant wildlife, walks and views. Stretching between Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Coquet Estuary, you will always be able to find quiet areas with spectacular views and thriving villages and pubs. A place that is well worth a visit in any season.

Lake Lodge Retreat is located in a prime area within the grounds of Haggerston Castle Holiday Park. Accessed via electric security gates, the lodge is one of only 9 properties within this area. The lodge terrace looks out over a lnearby ake and a designated parking area, which accommodates two cars is located conveniently close to the entrance.

Lake Lodge Retreat, although tucked away in a quiet corner of Haggerston Castle Holliday Park, it also affords our guests easy access to all the attractions and activities provided within the park and at the Castle Pavillion. There is plenty on site to keep all ages entertained. (Play passes purchased seperately via Holiday Park.)
Lake Lodge Retreat is also ideally located for visiting the local area, with quaint villages, historical buildings and an abundance of amazing beaches and areas of natural beauty. Boat trips can be booked from nearby Seahouses where you can enjoy bird watching and dolphin spotting. Holy Island and Lindisfarne are a short drive away, not forgetting the nearby towns of Berwick and Bamburgh.
